At a glance
Borderless Frontier is a work in progress. Play responsibly, keep control of your local saves, and respect the game’s content and other people’s rights.
1. Provider and scope
Borderless Frontier is provided by Gilberto Avalos Osuna, based in Guadalajara, Mexico (“we,” “us,” or “the developer”). These terms apply to the game and builds we make available. Contact us at avalos@indiefy.net.
By downloading or using a game build made available with these terms, you agree to them to the extent permitted by applicable law. If you do not agree, do not use that build. You must meet applicable age requirements and the distributor’s age rating. If you are not old enough to agree independently, a parent or legal guardian must authorize your use.
2. Work in progress and availability
Borderless Frontier is currently a combat-and-strategy prototype under active development. Features, missions, balance, supported devices, and compatibility may change. A project page, screenshot, or preview does not promise a particular release date or future feature.
Preview builds may contain bugs, interruptions, or compatibility problems. Availability of a particular build may change or end. Any mandatory rights you have under applicable consumer law remain unaffected.
3. Permission to use the game
Subject to these terms and any applicable distributor agreement, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to install and play authorized copies of the game for personal entertainment on devices you own or control. You receive permission to use the game, not ownership of its software or intellectual property.
You may share your own gameplay screenshots and recordings, including commentary, reviews, and monetized gameplay videos or streams, provided you respect third-party rights and do not imply official sponsorship. This permission does not allow distribution or resale of the game itself or its extracted assets.
Third-party components remain subject to their respective licenses. These terms do not limit permissions or rights granted by those licenses or by applicable law.
4. Responsible use
Do not use the game or related services for unlawful activity, distribute malware, interfere with other people’s devices or data, impersonate the developer, or infringe intellectual-property or privacy rights.
Do not sell, redistribute, or commercially exploit unauthorized copies of the game or its assets. Do not bypass access protections or reverse engineer the game except where applicable law or a relevant component license permits it. These restrictions do not prevent lawful research, criticism, accessibility measures, or other uses protected by law.
5. Progress, settings, and devices
The current game stores campaign progress and preferences locally. It does not provide a developer-operated account or cloud-save service. Clearing app or browser data, deleting the app, replacing a device, or installing an incompatible build may cause progress to be lost.
You are responsible for managing your device and any backups available through your platform. We cannot promise recovery of local saves we do not possess. Device requirements and distributor terms also apply to downloading and running a build.
6. Prices and purchases
The current prototype does not implement in-app purchases, subscriptions, or advertising. Any price for obtaining a game build will be shown by its distributor before purchase. These terms do not authorize unannounced charges.
If paid features are introduced in a future release, their price and relevant conditions will be disclosed before purchase. Transactions, refunds, and cancellations handled by an app store are subject to that store’s rules and applicable consumer law.
7. Fictional content and intellectual property
The game contains science-fiction combat, fictional events, and satire. Its factions, dialogue, and plot are entertainment, not factual claims about real people, governments, or events, and do not express endorsement by any institution.
The game’s original software, story, artwork, branding, and other content belong to the developer or their respective rights holders. Third-party names and materials remain the property of their owners. No affiliation or endorsement is implied merely by an inspiration or reference.
8. Privacy
Our Privacy Policy explains local saves and preferences, support correspondence, and visits to the project website. It is available at Privacy Policy. These terms do not replace any separate permission or consent required for handling personal information.
9. Warranties and liability
To the extent permitted by law, development and preview builds are provided as available, without a promise that they will be uninterrupted, error-free, or compatible with every device. No statement here excludes warranties, remedies, or other consumer rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.
To the extent permitted by applicable law, we are not responsible for indirect or consequential losses caused by use of a development build. This limitation does not exclude liability that cannot legally be limited, including liability for fraud, intentional misconduct, or other non-excludable responsibilities.
10. Ending use and changes to these terms
You may stop using the game at any time. We may withdraw a preview build or end permission to use the game for a material breach of these terms, subject to applicable law and any required notice or opportunity to remedy the breach.
We may revise these terms as the game develops. Updated terms will show their effective date, and material changes will be communicated when required. Changes will not remove rights you have already acquired under mandatory law or retroactively authorize new charges.
11. Applicable law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of Mexico to the extent permitted by applicable law. If you are a consumer, mandatory protections and any right to bring a claim before competent courts in your country of residence remain unaffected. These terms do not require arbitration or waive those rights.
If a provision cannot be enforced, the remaining provisions continue to apply to the extent lawful. For a question or dispute, contact avalos@indiefy.net so we can first try to resolve it directly.
