The current game works offline, stores progress and preferences locally, and does not require an account or include advertising or analytics tools.
1. Who this policy covers
Borderless Frontier is developed and provided by Gilberto Avalos Osuna, based in Guadalajara, Mexico. In this policy, “we” and “us” refer to the developer. For privacy questions, contact avalos@indiefy.net.
This policy covers the current Borderless Frontier game, including its native app and browser builds when available, the Borderless Frontier pages on gilbertoavalos.com, and related support correspondence. The game is currently a work in progress; this policy describes its present functionality.
2. Information handled by the game
The current game does not require registration and does not ask for your name, email address, phone number, or payment details. It does not collect precise location, contacts, photos, camera recordings, microphone recordings, or advertising identifiers.
The game stores campaign progress, completed missions, selected faction, language, prologue viewing status, and gameplay preferences such as difficulty, aiming controls, and audio settings on your device. The game may use the device or browser language to select an initial language.
These records are used to restore your progress and preferences. They are not sent to developer-operated servers. The current game does not include developer-operated cloud saves, analytics, advertising SDKs, or remote crash-reporting services. Diagnostic messages generated during play remain local unless you choose to include them in a support request.
3. Local storage and device backups
Native apps use local app storage, and browser builds use browser local storage to remember progress and settings. This storage is used for game functionality rather than tracking or advertising.
Your operating system or browser may include app data in backups, syncing, or diagnostic features you control. Those services are governed by their providers’ privacy settings and policies; we do not operate those backups or receive them automatically.
4. Information you send for support
If you email us, we receive your email address, the contents of your message, and any attachments or diagnostic information you choose to provide. We use that information to answer questions, investigate reported problems, and handle privacy requests.
Please send only the information needed to explain the issue. We do not use support correspondence for advertising or add you to a marketing list simply because you contacted us.
5. Website visits and external services
When you visit the project website or these policy pages, Amazon Web Services, our hosting and delivery provider, processes connection information such as your IP address, requested page, and browser request headers to deliver the website and operate its infrastructure securely. The website does not include advertising trackers, third-party analytics scripts, or analytics cookies.
Email providers process support correspondence to deliver and store messages. App stores and device-platform providers may separately process download, transaction, backup, or diagnostic information under their own policies and your settings. This does not mean the game sends local saves to us.
Links to external websites are optional. When you follow them, the destination’s privacy policy applies to information it handles.
7. Retention and deletion
Local progress and settings remain on your device until the relevant app or browser data is removed. On Android, you can clear the app’s storage in device settings. On iOS, deleting the app removes its local app data; offloading an app may retain its data. For browser builds, clear the browser’s site data for the game. These actions can permanently erase progress. Device or cloud backups may need to be managed separately.
We cannot remotely retrieve or delete saves that exist only on your device. Support correspondence is kept only as needed to respond to the request, follow up on the issue, and meet applicable legal or security obligations. You may request deletion of information you have sent us, subject to obligations that require its retention.
8. Your choices and privacy rights
You can play the current game without creating an account, choose whether to contact support, and remove local data using your device or browser controls.
Depending on the law that applies to you, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or object to the use of personal information, restrict processing, receive a copy of it, or withdraw consent where processing relies on consent. To exercise rights relating to information we hold, email avalos@indiefy.net. We may request information reasonably necessary to verify the request and will respond within the timeframe required by applicable law. You may also contact the relevant data-protection authority.
9. Security
Keeping gameplay records locally limits the information transmitted to us. The project website uses HTTPS. Your device security, browser settings, and backup settings also affect the protection of your saves. No storage or transmission method can guarantee absolute security.
10. Children’s privacy
Borderless Frontier includes fictional combat and satirical themes and is not designed for young children. Players should follow applicable age restrictions and any age rating shown by their distributor. We do not knowingly request personal information from children through the game. If you believe a child has sent personal information to us, contact avalos@indiefy.net so we can address it and delete it where required.
11. Changes to this policy
We may revise this policy as the game develops or our practices change. We will update the date on this page and provide additional notice when required. If a future release introduces accounts, online features, analytics, advertising, or other new handling of information, we will describe those practices and obtain any required consent before they begin.
12. Contact
